Loeb chooses not to restart in Italy
Sebastien Loeb will not restart on the second day of Rally d'Italia following his third-stage exit from the event. While Loeb's Citroen DS3 WRC was not extensively damaged - just a steering arm was broken in the impact with some rocks early on the Monte Lerno test ? and could have been re-prepared for the second leg, Loeb felt there was no reason to continue. The Frenchman won his ninth world title in France a fortnight ago and Citroen also collected the manufacturers' award
