Chip industry sags before expected 2013 comeback, says Gartner

While an analyst firm is reporting that global semiconductor revenue has dipped 3 percent this year, the market is expected rebound in 2013.

Gartner Inc. reported this morning that worldwide chip revenue will hit $298 billion this year, a 3 percent drop from the $307 billion in revenue chipmakers brought in last year.
