The two biggest teams in the British Formula 3 International Series have affirmed their commitment to their domestic contest for 2012 in the wake of the FIA's announcement of a European F3 Championship. Both Carlin and Fortec Motorsport, who account for nine of the 10 drivers currently confirmed for the series' main class, have stated that they will definitely compete in British F3 in 2012. Carlin chief Trevor Carlin said that the European championship would make "absolutely no difference" to his team's British F3 commitment
